Touched so hard that I’m creating this post with the full knowledge my attempt to reach out her may be rebuffed, ignored, or unseen, none the less her blog is worth visiting. Her name is Rebecca Gummere and I came across her from this Buzzfeed article she wrote titled “I Found God, Became A Pastor And Then Lost My Faith. Here’s What I Believe In Now.” In that article where she speaks of losing her faith (spoiler alert) the thing she believes in is Love. And I think Love sums up the uncorrupted teaching of Jesus perfectly. Because I believe the teachings of Jesus were corrupted. The morality forced upon the Christian believers is the same morality forced by the Jewish laws. You’re not supposed to live your life full of guilt that you’re not doing all the things the “church” teaches you should be doing. You’re supposed to live a life based on Love, love for yourself and love for your fellow man. It doesn’t matter if you do drugs. It doesn’t matter who you have sex with or if you even have sex at all. If you smoke. Drink. Masturbate excessively. All that matters is how you treat others. I haven’t spent much time on Rebecca’s blog yet because lI was too excited and wanted to share her with others.
